Survey Invitation

Study On The Ways Of Conferencing For OTESSA 2.0

You are invited to complete a survey exploring the future of conferencing. This survey is part of a research project, exploring the evolving landscape of academic conferencing in the context of continuous technological advancements, societal changes, and climate concerns. Conference attendees are invited to review the study overview and consent form.

We also invite you to participate in an online focus group (Thursday, June 20 @ 3-4 pm) to discuss your preferences, experiences, and expectations. The session will be audio recorded for transcription. Through this structured discussion, we aim to gain a comprehensive understanding of how conferencing can meet the needs of diverse participants in environments that can range from nature-based to digital, online, and open contexts. We look forward to identifying challenges and opportunities that will shape OTESSA 2.0.

OTESSA Participants, who have registered also with Congress, can attend the Congress “Big Thinking” lecture series. These take place June 13, 16, 17, and 19. Congress has “open events” available as well (open to registrants across association conferences at Congress as well as those who hold community passes).

All OTESSA Registrants can also attend conference sessions offered by the Canadian Association for the Study of Education (CSSE), Canadian Association for the Study of Higher Education (CSSHE), and Canadian Association of Learned Journals (CALJ) as we have reciprocity agreements in place. Due to the events at McGill, CSSHE has moved its onsite events to University of Montreal, CSSE has relocated to a few different campuses with reciprocity only applying to their onsite days, and CALJ has moved entirely online. Any OTESSA registrants who have registered through Congress will be able to access online events offered by CSSHE and CALJ through their Virtual Platform. Please note that presenters must register in each conference in which they are presenting.
